My name is Usama Siddiq and I am a musician and mixing engineer. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan. I have been based in Berlin since 2016.
I have been actively involved in music in different capacities since the age of 16. Having started my musical journey as a vocalist/guitarist in 2003-4 for my solo project and in different bands, I started picking up other instruments as well over time including drums, bass and keys. Pretty soon into this process, I developed an interest for recording and mixing out of necessity and a lack of access to studios. Not the most unique career trajectory for an engineer, I know 😛
I began transitioning to a full-time career in music around 2013 and started taking on production and engineering projects in a freelance capacity. After moving to Berlin, I spent some time working in the music copyrights sector, finally setting up my own studio in 2018 where I have since been working professionally with clients and collaborators, as well as on my own music.
